Practice 7

                                                      Be Cookie

  • How is the structure solved? Indicate the main sections of the website architecture.
First of all, you see the home page with a few pictures and words. If you click in these words, you go to a section which has a lot of cookies and all of them are named after famous sports people, singers or supermodels, which is very original, interesting and funny. and it explains you the ingridients, which gives you A LOT of hungry. In the home page you can also see a few notebook pages. One of them shows you pictures of homemade cookies (made by the page editors) and the other one leads you to a little game where you can create your own cookie by choosing its ingredients. This is very funny to do, although, obviously, you don't get to recieve the cookie.
  • Which information formats have been used in each section (text, hypertext, images, audio, video)?
The main section has a few nodes such as "Sport&Cookies", "Rock&Cookies", "Fashion&Cookies", "Pulsa aquí" etc. This last one is put under a small information text about "original cookies" and "create your own cookie". There are also a few pictures of cookies that move. If you click on any of the first three nods, you go to another section with more pictures and text which explain the different tipes of cookies. Each section (Sport, Rock and Fashion) has three different pages. There is another node that takes you back to the home page or index. The "pulse aquí" node takes you two different section deppending on which one you click on. It has also four feedback logos of twitter, facebook, blogspot and myspace that allows you contact the editors.

  • What other resources, such as chronologies, maps, infographics, photo galleries and videos, etc. have been used?
There is this cookie cartoon on the nodes "Sport&Cookies", "Rock&Cookies" and "Fashion&Cookies" which resembles the real image of the real cookie which is on the tittle.

You can also find a few sentences which aren't links but promotional and advertising sentences that inform about what the website it's gonna be about. These sentences are attractive and original. "How does a Paris Hilton cookie tastes?" Anyone would like to know.

I find quite disapointing the absence of music and videos, which will be very interesting to see. Maybe a video about the home made cookies process or a little piece of music of a song from the different musicians on the "Rock&Cookies" section would be nice.

  • How can the users participate? What kind of interactivity and navigation mechanisms are provided?
As I have previously said, there are four feedback nodes which can allow the viewer to contact the editors. This is great because they chose four, not only one, because it may be that someone hasn't got twitter or facebook, and the viewer can chose which one to chose to comment or make contact with the editors.

  •  How is the content being updated?
The page was created thanks to the Free Website Builder WIX.

  • Does the project include social media resources (Web 2.0)? Which ones and what´s their purpose?
Yes, The do have a page in:
Twitter: http://twitter.com/becookiein
Facebook: http://es-es.facebook.com/people/Galletas-BeCookie/100000475177369
Blogspot:  http://becookieindustries.blogspot.com/

Greetings!

"It doesn't matter 'bout the car I drive or what I wear around my neck,
all that matters is that you recognize that is all about respect.
It doesn't mater 'bout the clothes I wear and where I go and why,
all that matters is that you get hyped and I'll do it again every time."
